Terms of use

These terms govern your use of DoctorStudio. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who can use DoctorStudio

DoctorStudio is built for registered medical practitioners and other qualified, registered clinicians. By signing up you confirm that the professional details on your profile are accurate and that you are legally permitted to practise in your field.

2. Your avatar and likeness

  • You may only create an avatar of yourself. Creating an avatar of anyone else is prohibited.
  • You must complete the identity-verification step. By doing so you consent to the creation and use of your digital-twin avatar and cloned voice for videos you request.
  • You own your likeness. You grant us a limited licence to process your recording, avatar and voice solely to provide the service to you. You can end this licence by deleting the avatar.
  • You must not let anyone else access your account or use your avatar.

3. Education only: medical disclaimer

DoctorStudio is a tool for producing general patient-education content. Videos are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment for any individual. DoctorStudio does not provide medical services and does not verify the clinical accuracy of scripts.

4. Your responsibility for content

Scripts are drafted automatically and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing every script and for everything published under your name, including its clinical accuracy.

You are also responsible for complying with the rules that apply to you, including the regulations of the National Medical Commission, your state medical council or other professional regulator, advertising law, and the rules of each platform where you post. Our script guardrails are designed to help (they avoid cure claims, drug and brand names, testimonials and superlatives) but they do not guarantee compliance.

5. Prohibited use

You must not use DoctorStudio to:

  • upload or disclose any patient-identifiable information;
  • impersonate another person or create an avatar without that person’s verified consent;
  • make false, misleading or unsafe health claims, or promote specific drugs or products;
  • solicit patients in breach of professional rules, or post testimonials;
  • create content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful or harassing; or
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, overload or bypass the security of the service.

We may suspend accounts or delete avatars that breach these rules.

6. Credits

Each new avatar uses 1 credit. Each finished video uses 1 credit. New accounts receive 3 free credits, which cover the first avatar and 2 videos. A video credit is reserved when you start rendering and returned automatically if the video fails. If avatar training fails, or the upload never starts, that credit comes back. Deleting a finished avatar does not return its credit; creating another one costs 1 credit. Monthly plans are Basic at $49 for 10 credits or Pro at $99 for 25 credits, billed in USD. Credits are added when each payment succeeds. They do not expire, and unused credits roll over and accumulate. Cancelling stops future credits; credits already added stay on the account. Each plan bills monthly for 10 years. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

7. Retention

Finished videos are deleted 90 days after they are generated. Download any video you want to keep. We are not responsible for videos that are lost after the retention period. See the privacy policy for full retention details.

8. Your content and our licence

You own the videos you create, subject to the rights of our providers in their underlying technology. You grant us the rights needed to generate, store and deliver your videos to you and, if you turn on sharing, to people who have the link.

9. Third-party services

DoctorStudio relies on third-party providers for avatars, voice, scripts, images, storage and email. Their availability may affect ours, and we may change providers to keep the service running.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep DoctorStudio available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, DoctorStudio is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any consequences of content you publish. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Ending your account

You may stop using DoctorStudio at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end or suspend your access if you breach these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
