Privacy policy
DoctorStudio handles your face and voice. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it.

1. Who we are
DoctorStudio (“we”, “us”) provides a service at doctor-studio.com that lets doctors and other qualified clinicians create patient-education videos presented by an AI avatar of themselves. For questions about this policy or your data, contact hello@piyushchhabra.com.
2. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, full name, and medical specialty.
- Likeness and voice data: the video you record or upload to create an avatar, and the face and voice models derived from it. This is biometric-style data that identifies you, and we treat it as sensitive.
- Content you create: prompts, scripts, scene assets and finished videos.
- Usage and technical data: sign-in times, credit balance and history, and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type.
We do not collect patient data, and you must not upload any. See our terms of use.
3. How we use your likeness and voice
We use your source recording only to create your avatar and cloned voice, and we use those only to render videos that you request from your own account. We do not sell your likeness or voice, do not use it to advertise anything, and do not let other users use your avatar.
4. Consent and verification
Before an avatar can be used, you complete an identity-verification step with our avatar provider (HeyGen) confirming that you are the person in the source recording and that you consent to the avatar being created. By creating an avatar you confirm that the recording is of you. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the avatar.
5. Your right to delete your avatar
You can delete any avatar from your dashboard at any time. When you do, we ask our avatar provider to delete the avatar, stop it from being used for new videos, and delete your source recording from our storage. Each account holds one avatar. To delete your whole account and all associated data, email hello@piyushchhabra.com.
6. Retention
- Finished videos are deleted 90 days after they are generated. The deletion date is shown on each video. Download any video you want to keep. Share links stop working once a video is deleted.
- Intermediate scene files (individual clips, images and audio) are deleted within 7 days of a video finishing.
- Source recordings are deleted 30 days after your avatar becomes ready, or immediately when you delete the avatar.
- Sign-in codes expire after 5 minutes and are deleted automatically.
- Account data is kept while your account is active, and deleted on request.
7. Subprocessors
We use the following providers to run DoctorStudio. Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.

Some of these providers process data outside India. We will update this list before adding a new subprocessor.
8. Sharing
Videos are private to your account until you turn on sharing for a specific video. A shared video is viewable by anyone with its link, along with your name and specialty. You can turn sharing off at any time. We do not sell personal data.
9. Security
Files are stored in private storage and accessed through short-lived signed links. Sign-in uses one-time codes sent to your email, and sessions are held in secure, HTTP-only cookies.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to raise a grievance. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@piyushchhabra.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

12. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. For significant changes we will also notify you by email.
